Why become a member?
A user is anyone who uses our database in search for information. The first time you opened our website you were a user. A user can:
- Browse the database for limited information about companies and their products.
If all you want to do is to search for information, you are free to do so. However, you can register, become a member and enjoy the benefits listed below.
There are two types of membership: free membership and full membership.
A free member can perform any of the following:
- Anything that a user can do (see above).
- Input of member's company (or business entity) details into the database.
The company will be listed in our directory. Any user will be able find your company in our database and read about its activities.
- Input of product details into the database.
Your products can be anything that fits within our database, e.g., a ship for sale, a ship design, a cargo to transport, an open vessel. See home page for more details or the main menu to see what you can input into the database.
Your products will be listed in our database. Any user will be able find your products in our database through relevant search criteria.
- Be listed on top of the directory.
A free member has a choice to purchase this option.
Free membership is free of payment. There's a registration form to fill in.
A full member can enjoy any of the following:
- Anything that a user and a free member can do (see above).
- Search for detailed contact information.
A user and a free member can only see the postal address of a company listed in our database. A full member can see all contact information.
- Input and show more about his products than a free member.
A full member can e.g. upload pictures of his products for free. (This service is available for free members at a charge.)
- Be listed on top of the directory.
If a user searches for a shipbroker in Antarctica, a result of the search will be a list of all shipbrokers in Antarctica.
All full members will be listed alphabetically above free members and their company names will be shown bold.
A free member has a choice to purchase this option.
